This 1 unit course is designed for whole class instruction (Tier 1) using Extension SIPPS and is based on the work of John Shefelbine in systematic instruction in phonological awareness and phonics based instruction at the extension level of reading. This course utilizes a literacy instructional model for working with students in the whole class setting. Must have access to school, district, or personally purchased SIPPS curriculum. Coursework is 15 total hours broken up into 3 modules. (initial class training, reading and coursework, teaching and documenting).
